These are guaranteed numbers up to this point. There may be additional
funds added. In any event, the payouts are locked in and can only go up
with additional sponsors.

Rules:
- Entry per car $50
- ¼ mile race unless weather or track conditions necessitate running 1/8 mile.
- Sweet 16 type format. Top 8 door cars will run off till there is one door car, and the same for the open wheel cars. Finalist in the door car will race finalist on open wheel side of ladder.
- 8.99 minimum qualifying ET. You MUST QUALIFY with at least an 8.99. You will not be allowed to qualify slower than 8.99. You must dial at least 8.99 or quicker in eliminations. ( See special note below about door cars that don’t make the field.
- NO crosstalk for this race.
- Door cars must have doors that open. Flop tops, altereds etc that have bodies but no doors will be considered open wheel.
- There are NO LIMITATIONS to the use of power adders. NITROUS, blowers, turbos are all encouraged! You must still meet the minimum NHRA safety requirements for your ET or class.
- We will accept IHRA crossover licenses and their safety requirements, but you should bring proof ( rulebook etc) of their rules to enforce your position.
- There will be 2 qualifying sessions. Should damp conditions exists early in the morning, we may run 1/8 mile, but be aware, we will still run ¼ mile for eliminations should it be possible. The ladder will be set after the final qualifying session. If your opponent on the ladder is broke or cannot make the run, you will be a bye run.
- Qualifying positions will be based on ET first, then tie breaker with MPH. Should there still be a tie, reaction time of final round will break the tie.
- We want this race to be fun for both the drivers and especially spectators. As drag racers, we owe the fans a good show, and that’s what we want this race to be, as well as honor our friend, Nitrous John.
